Family BASICS
Building a Supportive, Integrated Community
We believe all families have strengths, a capacity to determine their own needs, and an ability to be self reliant. Family BASICS works to strengthen families and prevent homelessness by providing housing counseling, rent stabilization and security deposit matching funds for low-income families.
Family Advocacy services empower families with the knowledge, skills and resources to develop networks of support that increase self-reliance.
The McKinney Homeless Education Assistance Program provides after-school tutoring, family/school advocacy, and a summer program for homeless and at-risk youth.
